Parent and Authorized Payer Access

Parents do not automatically have access to view or make payments, or to discuss a student’s account information with University personnel. A student must designate authorized individuals both in QuikPAY and using the FERPA financial release form found online. Instructions for authorizing parents and other payers can be found below.

Please note that the University does not mail billing statements.

How to Add an Authorized Payer

Step 1: QuikPAY

1. Students must log in to QuikPAY, accessible from this site and Webadvisor.

2. Choose the “Authorize Payer” link.

3. Click the “Add New” button; key in requested information.

4. An email will be sent to your authorized payer advising them of their log-in - this email will NOT include their password; you must inform your authorized payer of their password.

5. Authorized payers should log in using the “Guest Access” link on WebAdvisor and then choose “QuikPAY Authorized Payers” link to get to the log-in screen.

Step 2: FERPA Release*

1. To become authorized, the parent or other authorized payer must be listed on the submitted FERPA release form, signed by the student.

  • This will allow us to discuss student financial information by phone, email and in person with authorized payers.
  • Authorized payers must know a student’s university ID number and the answer to the FERPA security question when contacting our office.

2. Additional information regarding FERPA can be found on our FERPA page.

Important Notes:

  • You may set up more than one authorized payer

  • You may de-authorize a payer at any time.

  • The University cannot set up authorized payers on behalf of students or parents.

  • Authorized payers will receive email notices when statements are available.
