FORMALIZING OUR SIGNATURE LEARNING APPROACH

Engaged Learning – Active, Collaborative, Connected to the Real World and Grounded in the Liberal Arts

The concept for an engaged learning experience is not only about new curricular approaches. It will be built on learning by doing and through experience that applies learning to real-world problems, collaborating with others and developing lifelong learning skills. Effective professional leadership is founded on the ability to integrate ideas and understand critical subject matter outside the traditional framework of specific academic disciplines.

Philadelphia University will enhance and formalize its engaged learning pedagogy to provide students with the education – the ability to learn – to make them successful leaders in the 21st century workplace. Our students will thrive in a curriculum that prepares them to be better thinkers and achievers.
