Diana earned a B.S. in Immunology and Microbiology (summa cum laude) from Kings College, (UK) in 1981 and a Ph.D. in medicine from the Royal Postgraduate Medical Federation (London) in 1993 followed by postdoctoral research in molecular microbial pathogenesis at Rockefeller University (NY). She also spent 10 yrs in medical research at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital (London). Diana serves on the editorial board of Plant Biology and the Journal of Clinical Microbiology and her research interests include herbal medicines as antimicrobial, immunomodulant and anti-biofilm agents and sick building syndrome bioremediation. Current career publications include 17 invited and 44 peer reviewed articles and she is the holder of 4 process patents. Diana teaches histology, immunology, microbiology and pathology.


  1. Journal Article “Phytochemicals as Immunomodulators”, published in “Current Immunology Reviews”, volume 10, issue 2, was selected by the Editor-in-Chief “Cecil Czerkinsky” as the 2016 Editor’s Choice and promoted through a press release at EurekAlert platform.
