Course Developers / Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

Part-time, course development as assigned

Philadelphia University is looking for experienced course developers/subject matter experts in various disciplines to design and build online course materials for our eight-week accelerated program. Visit for a list of majors.

Education Required:
• Master's degree in subject area (at least 18 graduate credits in the discipline)
• Curriculum and course design experience
• Prior online course development experience
• Experience using Blackboard
• Design and use of electronic course materials
• Substantive college teaching experience (over three years) preferred, with substantive online teaching and learning
• Desire to educate in 21st century models of teaching and learning

SMEs work in conjunction with the instructional designers and instructional coaches. Course development is a contract position. SMEs are asked to teach (with pay) at least the first run of their newly designed course, but if further teaching is desired, opportunities will be explored.
