Adjunct Professor Textile Organic Chemistry

2+ years of industry experience and/or teaching experience

Education Required:
Bachelor of Science in science-related field


Instructor Lecture and Laboratory. Lectures four hours per week; laboratory two hours per week. Instructor responsible for all lecture and laboratory instruction, preparation for lecture and laboratory and all grading.

Aliphatic, aromatic and heterocyclic compounds and those syntheses and reactions that play a role in textile chemistry. Also includes the chemistry of carbohydrates and proteins, regenerated polymers, polymerization, synthetic polymers, the synthesis and chemistry of finishing agents and dyes. The laboratory portion illustrates basic techniques and reactions and the applications of textile chemistry.
