Faculty Position

Title of Position:
Adjunct Instructor, Graduate Print Studio

Part-time, one-semester contract

School of Design and Engineering

Successful candidates will have an excellent understanding of creative textile design and will be qualified to teach the courses as outlined below. Each position requires exceptional communication skills and experience providing design critiques. Industry experience that includes creative-concept development through product-development is preferred. Experience teaching at the university-level is preferred.

Education Required:
A master’s degree or five or more years of experience in the textile design industry is required.

This faculty member will teach graduate students: concept development for printed textile design, refinement of various styles of repeat making, range of printed textile design styles, development of textile design printed on textile substrates, textile substrate manipulation, function of printed textile designs and provide an introduction of the printed textile design job market and requirements.
