Black Retail Action Group (BRAG)

The Black Retail Action Group is a non-profit organization that prepares and educates professionals, entrepreneurs and students of color for executive leadership in retail, fashion and related industries. For over forty years, the organization has been providing  scholarships and summer internship programs to help fulfill their mission.

BRAG Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) is one of nine chapters in the nation, and has been active since 2011.  The chapter holds workshops, networking events and speaking engagements to help provide professional development opportunities for members.  Each year the chapter holds the annual “Talkin’ Fashion” event, where industry professionals speak to the members about their career experiences in the fashion industry.  The event is completely organized and founded by the chapter and its members.

BRAG Jefferson is led by an executive board comprised of students.  Each year, a new board is reelected by members.  Students with an interest in fashion and business will find this organization beneficial for the professional development, and for the network it enables them to build.
