Ted's Place is aptly named after Theodore C. Search who with the belief that education is the key to enhancing quality, established Philadelphia Textile Institute (PTI) in 1884.  PTI became Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science in 1949, then Philadelphia University in 1999. 

Ted's Place is located on the main level of the Kanbar Center.  Stop by for your favorite coffee beverage or hot breakfast sandwich on your way to class.  Or visit for an item from our convenience store, freshly made pizza or hot sub, Jack and Jill Ice Cream and Milkshake or an on the go! salad, sandwich or side.  Late night will feature a rotating street food creation and every Sunday offers Comfort Food Sunday Night menus.
